water increase

The Ohio American water rate increase.
6.44 percent in July 1996
5.21 percent in October 1997
3.81 percent in October 1998
6.33 percent in July 2000
4.91 percent in February of 2002
Now they are asking PUCO for 19 percent more.

Republicans are running out of ways to steal from Tax paying hard working Democrats.

In S.C. they tax food. S.C. has a long history of being republican controled. It is wrong to tax food. Morally wrong.

Each person needs about 50 liters of water per day to survive.

I have heard from the other side it's wrong and un American to paint the Corporation as evil. It is not wrong, Corporations are evil.
We as Americans need to call evil what it is, EVIL.
We also need to know evil when we see it..

Prisoners abused

Tuesday, December 7, 2004
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - U.S. special forces accused of abusing prisoners in Iraq
threatened Defense Intelligence Agency personnel who saw the mistreatment, according
to U.S. government memos released Tuesday by the American Civil Liberties Union.
The special forces also monitored e-mails sent by defense personnel and ordered them
"not to talk to anyone" in the United States about what they saw, said one memo written
by the Defense Intelligence Agency chief, who complained to his Pentagon bosses about the
harassment.
In addition, the special forces confiscated photos of a prisoner who had been punched
in the face.
Prisoners arriving at a detention center in Baghdad had "burn marks on their backs" as
well as bruises and some complained of kidney pain, according to the June 25, 2004 memo.
FBI agents also reported seeing detainees at Abu Ghraib subjected to sleep deprivation,
humiliation and forced nudity between October and December 2003 - when the most serious
abuses allegedly took place in a scandal that's remains under investigation.
The release of the ACLU documents comes a day after The Associated Press reported that
a senior FBI official wrote a letter to the Army's top criminal investigator complaining
about "highly aggressive" interrogation techniques at the U.S. prison camp in Guantanamo
Bay dating back to 2002 - more than a year before the scandal broke at the Iraqi prison.

personal comment.. There is nothing moral about abuse. It is not a decent act. A godly man would not do this act. A GODLY man would not support this act. Some like to claim the high ground of morals, we all know god knows us by our deeds not our claims.

The vote was hacked

Friday, December 10, 2004
As the Electoral College prepares to certify President Bush's re-election on Monday, concerns persist about the integrity of the nation's voting system - particularly in Ohio, where details continue to emerge of technology failures, voter confusion and overcrowded polling stations in minority and poor neighborhoods.
Few mainstream politicians dispute Bush's victory, and the incumbent's 3.5 million-vote margin nationwide was wider than any of the reported problems, which included insufficient or incomplete provisional ballots and, in some places, brazen partisan shenanigans.
But that is not stopping a disparate assortment of personalities - prominent among them Democratic congressman John Conyers Jr. of Michigan, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and presidential candidates of the Green and Libertarian parties - from questioning the accuracy of certified results and demanding investigations.
Of greatest concern is the extent of disenfranchisement in the critical swing state of Ohio, whose 20 electoral votes guaranteed Bush's victory.
"It's critical that we investigate and understand any and every voting irregularity anywhere in our country, not because it would change the outcome of the election but because Americans have to believe that their votes are counted in our democracy," John Kerry said this week, after calling for a statewide recount in Ohio.

Bush margin in Ohio, the "political capital"

Bush claims a gain of "political capital" he says "I intend to spend it". Truth is it's about 20 cents.
Hey Bu$h, don't spend it all in one place.
the unofficial margin was 136,000 now with Provisional ballots counted it's down to only
119,000. now you do the math, what's the percentage of 114 million votes.. 2 percent. Now you
will say it's the popular vote that counts. In 2000 you pointed to the electorial vote. which?
In the popular vote Bu$hs margin was only 3 percent. Not much capital gained. It would seem to me that "the great uniter" would gain a considerable amount more "capital"..
